Delboy's Bar is the ONLY English Bar in Portinatx, a place where people meet, a place where you can relax and unwind, where fine pub-style food is served accompanied by a good selection of draught beers (such as Stella Artois, Boddington's Bitter, Carling Lager and draught Strongbow cider). We also stock Magners, Guinness, Maguires Pear or Raspberry Cider and Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer. Bottled beers such as San Miguel, Coronita (Corona), Heineken, Amstell and Budweiser are also on sale. We only sell top branded spirits with bottled mixers - we even sell a wide range of alcopops - all served in a friendly family atmosphere. Try a regular cocktail, a jug cocktail, a shot or even a jug of Sangria, childrens cocktails, Fruit Shoots and slushes are also served. A visit to Delboys would not be complete without trying the legendary 'Hoover'.
Delboys Bar is the only English-owned and English-staffed bar in Portinatx. It is run by an English family with over 15 years experience of serving the public in Spain and is the ideal place to ask a question or two or gain a little local knowledge.
English breakfasts are available from 10am every day (prices start at 4 Euros) and include English sausage and Danish bacon - although, if you prefer, there are many other choices including beans on toast (made with English bread) or even a bacon sarnie. Our snack menu (prices start at 2.75 Euros) includes jacket potatoes, pizzas, nachos, sandwiches, toasties, rolls and fresh baguettes each with a wide choice of toppings or fillings. Our main menu (prices start at 4.75 Euros) includes chillis, curries, burgers, shepherds pie, filled giant yorkshire puddings, mince & tatties, wraps, hot-dogs, English pies (Pukka), BBQ spare ribs, salads, omelettes and a range of home-made pasta dishes - even fish & chips. We also serve freshly grilled chicken breasts, lamb cutlets, pork steaks, roast chicken, gammon steaks, T bone, rump and sirloin steaks. For those with a healthy appetite, try the mixed grill. Vegetarian dishes are also available. Most main meals are served with a choice of chips or real mashed potatoes. For children we serve such delicacies as chicken nuggets and even fish fingers, prices start at 4.25 Euros and all children's menu meals include a free ice cream or fruit dessert. A roast dinner is available Sundays with a choice of roast beef, pork or chicken all served with 3 fresh veg, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding and Bisto gravy. Lovely Jubbly.
Entertainment is also a big part of our weekly calendar with a live singer once a week and karaoke (with over 25,000 songs to choose from) two nights a week. Our karaoke has the largest and most comprehensive collection of songs in Portinatx, more than any other bar or hotel. Our music quizzes and trivia quizzes are free to enter and the winning team will receive a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka, Gordons Gin, Veterano Brandy or real Bacardi as their prize. We also present a night we call 'Boozy Bingo' where we play 'wine for the line' and give bottles of branded spirits for the full house.
Unlike the UK we have no smoking ban here in Ibiza, smoking is still permitted inside the bar although cigarettes are a little more difficult to purchase. The bar, with its ceiling fans, air conditioning and a 32 feet wide open front, does not suffer from smokiness. There are an equal number of tables and chairs on the covered terrace as there are inside the bar and all forms of entertainment are equally accessible from either location. Our English pool table costs only 1 euro a game.
Portinatx is a very picturesque resort that lends itself more to chilling out than full on partying. Many visitors to Portinatx find it a very social resort and make lots of new friends, often these friendships continue back in the UK and we have heard of many instances where families or other groups have kept in contact and arranged further holidays together in the future. Many people tell us that their holiday had been one of the most relaxing they have ever had, and not left them feeling like they need a holiday to get over it. However, there are still a number of 'late' bars such as La Barca (The Boat Bar), down in the port area or La Ciguena (on the little beach) where you can generally drink until around 4am.
